I began working for Cisco in August 2000 as a Custom Application Engineer supporting partners. I then managed the Developer Services group for 5 years and was a key driving force that incubated the first real developer partner program at Cisco, Cisco Developer Network. Once that was up and running, I built a successful new service line in Advanced Services to develop applications that could integrate Cisco platforms with customer legacy systems. After 4 years there, I moved to Sales to become a business architect to bring my skills in transforming business process through technology to use.
I have been a citizen soldier for the past 27 years in the US Army. I have deployed 4 times and I have been on missions in 11 countries supporting conflict areas. I am an avid scuba diver, and I have dived all over the world. I parachute, bungee jump, rappel / rock climb, and I have a few hours logged towards my pilots license. In my spare time, my wife and I love to travel the world over to experience new cultures and new foods. I am currently trying to learn two new languages and learn to play the guitar. I hope one day to retire and spend my days traveling to the countries I have not yet experienced.
